Our Story
The story of the Aegean Astronomy Club began in November 2019, beneath the dark skies of Paros island. What started with a breathtaking night sky, quickly became a journey of discovery and inspiration. From those first nights under the stars grew a non-profit initiative with a clear purpose: to share the beauty of the cosmos with everyone. Today, the Aegean Astronomy Club continues to bring people together through public events, private sessions, and educational activities โ always guided by the same sense of wonder that first lit the spark.

AAC Foundation
Aegean Astronomy Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 2021, on Paros island, Cyclades, Greece.
Its main goals are science communication and astronomy dissemination to residents and visitors of the Aegean islands.

Meet the Founders
Panos Mathioudakis
Founder – CEO
Panos is the driving force behind this initiative. With a BSc in Information Technology and a BA in Photography, he combines technical knowledge with creativity to guide AACโs vision.
Chris Pantazis
C0-Founder
Chris plays a central role in bringing AAC to life. Actively involved with the local business community on Paros island, he connects the club with its wider environment.
Dr. George Vranopoulos
Honorary Member
Dr. George contributes his expertise and valuable support to AAC. Holding a PhD in Information Technology, he now serves as Head of Development at Kuwait National Bank.
